R-32: Lower GWP Than R-410A

R-32 (difluoromethane) is widely used as a more climate-friendly alternative to R-410A, primarily because of its lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). R-410A has a GWP of 2,088, while R-32’s GWP is approximately 675—making it about 70% less impactful on the environment. This significant reduction has made R-32 a key part of the global transition toward more sustainable refrigerants. R-32: Mildly Flammable but Efficient

Despite the flammability, R-32 is praised for its strong thermodynamic performance, offering excellent energy efficiency and heat transfer properties. Systems using R-32 are often smaller and more efficient than those using R-410A, due to R-32’s higher volumetric cooling capacity.
